Shoes of Prey

Jodie Fox is the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Shoes of Prey, the global, online destination for custom-made shoes at non-luxury prices. The Australian-born fashion brand empowers women all around the world to customise shoes that represent their style so they can look and feel their best self.

A banking and finance lawyer by trade, Jodie explored the world of advertising before setting out to solve a problem of her own and, along with her two Co-Founders, Michael Fox and Mike Knapp, launched the world’s first website where women can design their own shoes.

Founded in 2009, Shoes of Prey has secured funding of nearly $US 25 million, broke even at 2 months and today is a global multimillion dollar enterprise. With over 6 million shoes designed to date, the company is changing the way women shop for shoes.

Jodie’s creativity is directed into Shoes of Prey product, culture, branding, design direction and communications. Her work has been recognised many times over — she was named the national Telstra Business Women’s Awards Winner (Private & Corporate Sector) (2011) as well as selected as one of the Top 10 Australian Female Entrepreneurs (2014), Elle Style Awards Fashion Innovator (2015), Griffith University’s Outstanding Business Alumni (2015), Top 8 Entrepreneurs to Watch (2015), Top 50 People in E-Commerce (2016) and listed as number 6 in the Top 50 Australian and New Zealand Women in Tech (2016).
